Thai girls are rather shy and I’ve never succeeded in taking photos in lingerie or soft nude.
Unlike in Europe, is it really a taboo or do you have any tricks in order to convince them?
I know I can book a “bar girl” but a bar girl is not necessary a good model and usually I don’t find them so nice; at  least for photos.

As an asian,I agree mostly asian girl are shy to taken the picture for lingerie or soft nude I mean maybe I'm not from Thailand but for the average asian are  mostly the same,They might not shy if only they are really professional model or the person who take the picture is they BF,lover,hubby,best friend,or someone they knew pretty well ,they'll not shy,if only they have a lots of confidence  and believe that their body are perfect ,and hv no minus  ,sure theres always side of every person who think that they hv a minus,I mean..helloooo..nobody perfect ...but its takes a lots of guts for an asian girl to pose nude... to trick them not shy to you probably should try to get to know each other quiet well b4 the shoot,and try to make them believe that their body are perfect and has beautifull skin,so it'll encourage them and they feel confidence enough  to pose,or if theres no time to chit chat bla bla bla....try to make the room light not so bright..so they dont feel  too much "reveal" in every inch of their skin,even its the idea for taking the pic  :-\.......but it's just my opinion.. ..he he....I'm sure people hv different opinion....good luck for the next shoot...

This is not only a question of shyness. It's simply unacceptable from a social point of view for most Thai girls to do this. Nudity is taboo in this society, and should the photos get out of control, they may be totally damaging for the reputation of the girl in question, which may affect career, relations to the opposite sex (being regarded as promiscuous can, for a girl in Thailand lead to a lot of unwanted attention) and relationship to family members, the older generation in particular.

It's important to remember, that this is a country where "spaghetti straps" and the hair-length of young girls, are CENSORED WORD issues, being discussed all the way up to cabinet-level.

I've had many slightly older (but still attractive) Thai girls ask for this from me.  I don't do them normally which may be why they feel safe with me.  I know the younger generation is a lot more progressive than the last.  There are tons of models who do these kinds of pics now...even in mainstream media...but you have to pay. 

The thing that will really make the difference is why you're taking the pics.  If you just want some sexy pics for your own use you'll be looking a lot.  If you are offering a service like TFP's you can get some young models.  If you're shooting for a magazine watch them beat down your door.

For me I take pictures regularly of groups of people.  They have become relaxed around me and trust me.  That's huge and I can now ask them to do anything (but I wouldn't :) ).
