There are some photographers who are just pressing a button. And then there are the others who see the world in a very different way...

I have been searching the internet for camera clubs in Bangkok, or Thailand, without any luck. This website is so far, the only one I have found, and I have to say, it's excellent, so I wish to pass on a big 'korp kun krap!' or 'thank you!' to Marc Schultz for starting up and managing this website.

So, does anyone know of any camera clubs which people meet up at? I'm rather surprised as the country offers so many photographic opportunities! If I was living in Thailand, (which I intend doing in a few years time!) I would probably try setting one up which initially meets once a month, and then as it's membership increases, improve the frequency. Has the idea of people on this website meeting up, ever been suggested? Maybe something could be done that way? Having said that, I do not think it would be fair to expect Marc Schultz to start it up!

Visited Thailand April 2007, will definitely coming back often, because it's sooo beautiful here!

Hi Sam,

I'm involved in a Bangkok based Photo Club which meets regularly and organises field trips.  Email me at simonparis@hotmail.com if you would like further information.

Simon - If you are running or part of a camera club, then by all means please feel free to post the information about it here in the forum for others to see. That is if you are interested in gathering more members at this time.

Thankyou Marc, I was going to ask you about that.  There is a waiting list at the moment but I will post some more information in the near future.

Lately, I have seen a lot of people post on forums that want to join a Photo club, if anybody is interested, why don't we start one ?

Interested ?

I am also interested. Cheers, markusREMOVETHIS@online-freelancerREMOVETHIS.com . So who else wants to join and where and when should we have the first beer? What about Sunday 26th August, afternoon in some Pub?

Cheers,

Markus
