There are some photographers who are just pressing a button. And then there are the others who see the world in a very different way...

Hi all,

Well I'm currently moving from LA to Thailand and stumbled across this site. By the way good job on building this site; its great because I've got so many questions on were to find things in BKK and I'm the only one of my friends that is a photographer.  My main question is if there are any traditional B&W labs that I can process and print my own work? I like to do large format contact prints off digital negatives, so is there a good digital print lab that will print on my own role of OHP for Epson?  Lastly, I’ve seen in the other post that there are digital labs; but do any of them do Lightjet Digital C-Prints. Thanks for any of the help you can give.

Welcome to the Forum Mark. I don't think the sort of B&W lab you are looking for exists. But once you have made 10 posts to the Forum you will have access to the listing section which has info about all kinds of places, labs, rental studios, where to buy film, etc.  The only place in town that really has any lab services at the sort of high end you are looking for is IQ Lab, but not sure what they actually offer as I print very little myself in general. Hope this helps.

There is one lab that has a Lightjet, called Aperture Pro digital lab. They are located on the road that leads from the thai airways office on Silom RD to ChongNonsi BTS station, same side as Thai airways, about 100 m along. They only operate their machine about 3 or 4 days a week ate prsent so it could take some time. Currently, i understand they mainly take clients with a substantial amount of work, but you maybe able to negotiate something.

the owner is falang, and can be contacted by email on cameronjhansen@yahoo.co.uk.

The manager of the shop doesn't speak much English, so polish up your issan language.

They produce great quality, i just was there last week and am happy with the outcome.

My experiences with IQ  lab have been pretty negative.
