Starting this site is an outstanding idea.  No sir, I'm NOT a professional photographer, but I've long been interested in the field, and as a web master of a site that often requires digital images, I like having someplace I can run in case I need help -- which I equally often do!  The fact that I use Photoshop for my digital work certainly is fortuitous for me.

You may be glad to know I got word of your site via e-mail from a friend in the U.S.  I also am at this moment writing my "regular" weekly column -- I'm three days late this week -- and you can darn sure bet I'll include a story about PhotographyThailand.com.

BTW, I understand your recommendation to register with a full name.  I'm probably going to stick with my online moniker simply because I've built an Internet persona around it -- but your advice is well-given, and well-taken.  I'll mull it over some more.

Thank you for the kind words and welcome to the forum. As may you know, photographers from all walks are welcome here, professional, amateur, enthusiast, or anything in between. So please feel free to participate in the forum at any level you wish to.

I am not sure though why you would have had problems posting messages after registering as mentioned in your article?

There is a validation process that requires you to verify your e-mail address before you can post messages in any of the forums. That is a default system setting for security purposes. Was that possibly the issue?

Otherwise, fully registered and validated members are able to post to most of the forums without problem. In one or two of the sections, like the Articles section for example, posting capabilites are reserved for forum administrator and moderatros only.

If there is still a legitimate issue on this though, please share it with us so that we can address any potential problems right away. Thanks.
