There are some photographers who are just pressing a button. And then there are the others who see the world in a very different way...

Yesterday after I finished viewing the Manit Sriwanichpoom exhibition at the Tang Gallery in the Silom Galleria, I noticed an exhibition almost right next door. When one exits the Tang gallery turn left and a few doors away is the Silom Galleria Art Space, presently featuring works by members of the Bangkok Photographic Society. All the photos are from China, and the photos of the guy getting a haircut with a sickle are hard to believe but for real. I mean the sickle could chop trees, let alone follicles of hair. Some of the people shots were quite nice, not as stark as the b/w portraits next door--which were moving in their own way as well.
