There are some photographers who are just pressing a button. And then there are the others who see the world in a very different way...

There's an interesting looking exhibition of b/w portraits by Manit Sriwanichpoom starting at the Tang Contemporary Art gallery (Silom Galleria) on Wednesday 22nd January. I was there checking out another exhibition on saturaday and I spied the portraits in the backroom ready for hanging. They looked very interesting and large scale. Apparently he's inited familiar strangers from his soi into his studio.
I'm going to pop in on Thursday with a couple of friends if anyone else fancies it come and say hello.

David--what time were you going to pop in? Would be interesting to see that someone from this forum actually exists, and is not a computer generated figment of imagination or whatever. Actually, I  know some of the members exist as when this site started up a few of us met at the F-Stop gallery. BTW, have not been there in awhile as I had been out of town for a few months but is it still up and running? I only ask as I always used to see listings of F-Stop exhibitions in the newspaper, but do not anymore.

David--Probably see you around then. I should recognize you even if you are showing more than the one eye in your photo.  Wink The few times I have been there I was the only viewing the stuff on the walls.
