So here we are, 2 days from departure, I just formatted the memory on my portable hard drive (digimate II), which is 80GB, and though all the connections work between comp' and HD, and it's telling me the device is in good working, everytime I put a CF memory card in the slot, instead of the number of GBs ready to be downloaded, I get the number 01 (error code?) and an interrogation mark on top of the HD icon on the LCD. The manual says little about it all, in terms of tracing errors, and I have opened all the windows possible coming with the device, that were about clean up,  troubleshooting and the likes. I find hard to believe i screwed the memory permanently, just need to bring the thing to a tech wizard store in BKK or Panthip. What shop will fix this?  Thanks

Hi, the same thing happened to me, reformat the disk and be sure to reformat it in as the right file format. On mac they call it "windows file format" and in the pc world i think it is Fat-16 (but I'm not really sure about the last, maybe someone else on the forum knows)

good luck
