Noorderlicht 2006 Photofestival:
Photography from South and Southeast Asia
Last call for submissions
This is a message to remind everyone that the official deadline for open submissions to the Noorderlicht 2006 Photofestival is due very soon.
The research for the festival is progressing nicely, but we are still searching for good work to consider for the programming.
The following countries are included in the upcoming festival: India, Indonesia, Pakistan, Nepal, Bhutan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Myanmar (former Burma), Thailand, Laos, Cambodia, Vietnam, Papua New Guinea, East Timor, Malaysia, Singapore, Brunei, Maldives and the Philippines.
Have you photographed in this region, do you know photographers whose work we should see, do you have other suggestions? Please don’t hesitate to get in touch with us.
Especially ideas from/about photographers from those countries themselves are invited.
Noorderlicht 2006 is a large international photofestival, introducing photography from a different part of the world to a new audience. Noorderlicht is known for its combination of high quality photography and telling compelling stories about the world we live in.
The festival takes place in the Netherlands in September this year and will be accompanied by a luxurious catalogue.
