A temple consecration happened once in a temple's life. Many laymen and women come to pray on the first celebration night to gain merit for their next life. From a few several hundreds up to a few thousands of people may join

Wow, I've never seen such a scene before.  I particularly like the lighting and composition in the last shot with the sacred thread linking the people to each other and (it appears) to the temple.  Where was that taken Regis and how did you find out about such an event?

It was taken in Nongkhai province.

Along the roads, you can often see temples 'advertisements' for such events (written in Thai).
