There are some photographers who are just pressing a button. And then there are the others who see the world in a very different way...

I recently tried out another one of the many digital print labs in Lad Prao. This one is called Chakraval Photo Digital, although the store does not have a sign outside in English I don't think. The opening hours are roughly 8am to midnight and the telephone number is 02-513-3886. They are one of the few labs in Lad Prao that offer glossy paper on prints at sizes 12" x 18" and above. Most only offer matt finish paper.

I recently made a large number of digital prints there at 16"x20" and 20"x30" on Matt finish paper there though and the results were very nice. They use a paper at the moment called Fuji Chrystal Archive and it has a nice brushed look to it rather than some matt finish papers that have more of a textured finish. I prefer this paper.

The print turn around time was fast and the best thing is if you get off the subway at the Phaholoythin station, exit the station at station exit #4, and then turn right, the shop is the first print shop you see when you turn the corner. So it is about a 30 second walk from the train station. Convenient!

Thanks for the tip. Will try it because I'm looking to take some prints back to England for friends and family. I went to pro colour lab recently which I usually use (in Huay Kwaang) and they actually cropped half my pictures - ridiculous.

Thanks, Marc.  It'll be a big help.  I'll try your new place.  I specifically instructed IQ Lab NOT to crop my photos - they did - on all of them.  Maybe I did not communicate properly?
I always come from the Central LadPrao.  I cross the walkway bridge to the print shops.  If I were facing the print shops and the Central Ladprao is behind me, is Chakraval to my left or right?  Thanks.  Anna

Your welcome Anna. On the right if you are coming from Central and would be the closest store to the subway station entrance.
