Hi all,

I'm browsing the forum and can see that the standard of photos is very high. I'm posting a few of my amateurish photos taken in Thailand during my 2005 trip.

comments and critiques are very welcome.

This one was taken at Koh Hong, Krabi

This one taken at Kata beach in Phuket

A water fall taken in a rain forest in Krabi

A buddah image taken at a Way Yai in Phitsanuloke

At the floating market in Ratchaburi

Thanks
Alex

If you called these photos ameteurish, then maybe I should go back to basics again on my DSLR. I like the waterfall shot too. Thanks for sharing.

Look allright to me alex, only quite a few blown out highlights, especially the sky above the boats and acouple of spots on the floating market one, try the shadows/highlights adjustment in photoshop.

Hey, I like the one from the floating market.
The waterfall is really nice too, and a bit unusual, considering most waterfalls are shot from below and up.

I also really liked the waterfall shot - there are so many waterfall shots out there I find it it difficult to really create something unique and interesting.  I think you've done that with the nice colour and shape of the rock, the flow of the water and the gnarly tree roots.

Your shot of the Buddah is nice too - what a great Temple, gotta put Phitsanulok on my to do list...

Simon.

Thanks, Simon. Phitsanuloke is one of the best kept secrets of LOS, I think. A trully beautiful province and not many tourists.

Cheers

Your work supports the adage; "The operator takes the photo - the camera only stores it".
These are real life pictures. Keep at it.
