Okay,
after lurking in the forum for a couple of weeks it's time to make my first post.
I just returned home from a vacation in Thailand, and been sorting out a couple of photos.

Most of them are taken in Chiang Dao (a bit north of Chiang Mai), and some are shot in Bangkok.

Rice field in Chiang Dao.
When framing the picture I found those two trees a bit annoying,
but when looking at the picture afterwards it looks kinda cool.

Sri Sang Wan waterfall.
Unfortunately I was here during the rain season.
That means alot of water, but alot of muddy water.
So the waterfall didn't look that great, and I wasn't too happy with most of the shots.
This one is of the better ones.

This one is shot in Siam Paragon shopping center.
Like some newer shopping centers it's actually not allowed to photograph inside
and the security staff may stop you if they see you with a camera.
But if you ask in the information desk for a permission, they'll give you a card that you can
show to the security, and they won't bother you anymore.

Lumpini park at night.
Since the park is closed at night, I had to stand outside, shooting through the fence.

This one is of Chao Phraya river, somewhere between Hua Lampong and Silom.
I kinda got lost when ended up here.
Then I couldn't figure out on the map where I was,
so I jumped on a random bus and eventually got to a place I recognize.  Cheesy

Welcome to the Forum Willy.

Liked to see your pics.  A lot to comment on but I'll just say I really liked the one of the stupa covered in growth.  Never seen one like that before.  How would one find that?

Also, your pics are very green - is that all natural, or were some adjustments made?

Cheers,

Simon.

That one was taken outside the entrance to Chiang Dao cave.
If you happen to be in Chiang Dao some time, take a trip to the cave and walk around the entrance area.
You should find it there.

I like to use polarizer in almost all my nature shots, to filter away the glare on plants thus making them more green.
That and I make alot of adjustments in software afterwards.

It seems like I overdid it on some of the photos.
They look fine on my laptop, but on my main computer they look a bit too contrasty.

Wish I could afford a screen calibration set Sad

Hi Willy

Thanks for sharing your pictures with us. Nice waterfall indeed.

I also use a polarizer filter when shooting nature and landscape during sunny weather but some of your pics are over color saturated.

Keep shooting the beauty of Thailand!
