Went to see the sunbird and was surprised to see it practicing how to fly:
Photo No. 1: Opps wrong landing area.
Photo: No. 2: He made it to my gate but hardly landing on it.
Photo: No. 3: Ready for another take off. I saw the sunbird flew out of might sight.

Sorry for the spelling error. It should be out of my sight.........instead of might sight.

What a great series of Photos, a real opportunity to see the magic of nature and get some great shots too! I especially liked one of the feeding ones and the one on the gate. Nice colours and composition on those. Thanks for posting.
Simon.

Jingle, you brought joy to my family (husband and my two teenagers) really enjoyed the whole series. They went wow! We just got done viewing the birds again. Did you name them yet? It will be sad when they leave the nest.

Hi Anna, thank you and your family for the comments on the "Nest Making" series, how I wish I could have done it much better than this but this is the best I can managed. I think by this weekend, only the nest will be left at the garage. I hope too that I will have another opportunity to do this in the future. Thanks again.

Hi Simon, thanks for the comments, it was also a first time for me to experience this and it was something I never knew before. I will probably keep the nest there hoping that another couple of birds might decide to build a new one. This time around I know how to make the series better. I am now editing all the photos from the beginning and make a new documentary set for keepsake. It was worth all the waiting.

Maybe as a final shot would be the empty nest?

Hi Anna, it's ok. Actually it might be really a good idea to get the empty nest as the final picture. Thanks.

As Anna has kindly suggested, I went to see the nest today and it is empty as I expected, no sign of the baby bird at all. I guess I have to wait for it to come back when it is time to make another nest.

Thanks, Jingle.
Maybe age is creeping on me, but I felt a pang of sadness seeing the nest empty. Do I see it as my son leaving off to college come fall season? He is busily working on his college essay and I am like the mother bird fussing around him.

Hi Anna, I think we have to let them go on their own to know how to face the world of uncertainties. We will never be around them all the time. We felt the same when my only daughter moved to the dormitory at Thammasat University in Rangsit last June. You'll be fine.
