There are some photographers who are just pressing a button. And then there are the others who see the world in a very different way...

Took these shots with a telephoto lens 28-300mm as using the macro is just impossible as they tend to fly away as soon as you get closer to take the shots. Still trying to perfect my close up/macro shooting with DSLR.

I saw this frog staring at me and when I took the close up photos it didn't move a bit. Must be wondering what I am trying to do.

Bugs and other small critters don't pose. I've watched a woman that does blooms in Chatuchak Park for greeting cards. She uses telephoto with DSLR, but also has a small (lighter) camera with swivle viewer screen and a screw on close up lens. It allows her to track her target with both eyes and shoot from various angles with ease.
She also seems to accurately anticipate movement of her subjects and arrives at their perch first.

I am aware that bugs and litters don't pose but when I took these photos I was  a foot closer with an 18-70mm lens, whether you believe it or not is your own assessment. If that woman in Chatuchak is making a living from doing photography she should be good otherwise she be will out of business even before you saw her. Just my 2 stang thought.

The butterflies looks lovely!
I used to catch lots of frogs when I was a kid,
now the thought of seeing one in person freaks me out lol
