I see on Photo-i in the UK  ( http://www.photo-i.co.uk/ ) that the European users are very excited about the new HP Photosmart Pro B9180 printer.  Neil Snape wrote a good review on it  http://www.neilsnape.com/HP9180_review.htm
I am struggling to get information from HP Thailand, has anybody seen it yet??

I tried HP a few months ago and they said March of this year, so I will check again and let you know.

I have one - it's a monster :)

Prints are excellent, and ink usage doesn't appear to be too bad (though, I have nothing to compare it to...). I'm finding HP paper to be quite difficult to get hold of, and so use Canon paper.

:)

thanks Antonie, i would appreciate any info.

mahonyWeb , did you buy the printer in Thailand? How much did it cost?
i can imagine how large it is, the photo-i web reviewer said the box could not fit in the trunk of his car.

thinley - I didn't buy it in Thailand, I purchased it in Engand (where I live).

I think I paid £400 = circa 28,000 baht

thanks mahonyWeb.

Antonie,

Thanks for the help.

That is really strange. I wonder if they meant, it is not sold in thailand YET. I found the manual and quick start guide for the printer in thai on the HP website.

HP thailand didn't reply to email inquiries. Oh, well. maybe i need to look at an epson.

I enquired by email a few weeks ago, and was told they didn't sell it in Thailand. I think i'd buy one straight away if they did. where I live (Vientiane) getting a good print made is nearly impossible.

Canon IPF5000, over 100K bt, read about it on Luminous Landscape. Available Canon BKK.

HP 3100, saw one at HP in BKK, quite expensive

Epson 2400, now seen as older.
