Took these shots of orchids I thought were plastics from a recent exhibition event. I had to use a direct flash as they are not really that big in actual size. With curious onlookers behind me waiting for the chance to take photos this is what I've got. C&C are welcome.

Jingle--especially in the 1st pic I would agree with you as the orchids look as if made of plastic or wax. Still gives a sense of pretty flowers, and unfortunately the situation does not always allow lots of time, proper lighting, diffusers, a tripod, ...

Hi David, thanks for the comments, had I been given the chance to even set up a tripod in front of these orchids I am sure I can manage to come up with a better and softer shots. Somehow we just have to use what is available in that instant so as not to cause inconvenience to the others who also have the same purpose as I had in mind.
