There are some photographers who are just pressing a button. And then there are the others who see the world in a very different way...

Hey Regis, I'm French too!

Most shots are 120 film, so no exif data, and besides, I'm not for including exif data with all my pics. Sometimes, it's good to keep people guessing, like a magician, you know Wink

I'll try to update with location and stuff like that, though. In fact, I'd done it in the commerical photography section but I got lazy for the travel pics. Thanks for your comment about that. I need to work on it this weekend (plus edit 1GB of JPEG I shot these last few days, ugh, I just want to go back to bed).

Great work on your website, it's a real encyclopedia of Thailand. Impressive work.

wow, that's for when I become an artist, in 10 years
-------------------------------------------------------------------------

Just picking up on this topic, One of the great things that i find enthralling in photography is that  a lot is done for you, at least for travel and street photography. You don't need to gather up the scenes, the people, only find them,  and it takes 1/10th of a second to play your score, so to speak. meaning you don't really need to do too much homework like a budding painter, musician, etc... Maybe it's close to literature, but  the results are more direct, the interaction between your eye and the world around kin to a great sense of belonging to that world, not retiring from.

and even not being a master, there is something exhilirating in having the power with one finger to catch something that will never come again the same way, time or space wise,  to have that world for keeps, and with digital nowadays, work at it even more instantaneously. Last, One's photography starts improving when self-assigning oneself to subjects. They are endless, only time and self-distraction or indifference are the enemies. And they can over-ride, and take as long as you wish, unless it's a single event.  The sense of purpose, even a tiny one, is what makes a photographer IMO, and that purposefulness is the artistry of photography, because that is what will drive one to change, self-question and convey finally a vision to others.
