I'm quite psyched about having finally done this. I just got my very own .com

www.gregoireglachant.com

In "travel", you'll find my favorite pictures of Bangkok and Laos.

I'd love to have your comments on my pics. Also, please tell me if you find any broken links or if you don't like the navigation.

Bravo!

Its looking good. Two things: there is a broken link for the Amn Puri Resort shot; and it would be nice to be able to click back to the main page without going back through the pics you've already looked at. If you can I've missed somehow.
Well done Gregoire.

Damn, so there is (a broken link). Thanks so much, David. Clicking on "gregoire glachant" (upper right corner) always takes you to the front page. I didn't make it obvious it was a link to keep the page as clean as possible.

Hi Gregoire, I like the dog with blue eyes and of course the rest of the collections. I hope I can manage to make my own in the future, just have to know how it is done. Thanks for sharing pal.

Hi gregoire - nice site and very good pictures. It took alittle while to load but that maybe because of my slow
connection. Didnt find any broken links. I would just mention that perhaps some of the images should have
a resized height so that users dont have to scoll to see the full image. I think that would look more presentable.

Thanks. I really appreciate. You mean the vertical pics should be less tall?

Hi Gregoire,

Congratulations, i had no problems with vertical pix, but did not look at the corporate account, i find that 640 pixels high on vertical on others sites is the right measurement, unless there is a text under or over that needs to be seen, then it may have to be taken in account.

And i think your pictures are so diverse that a few notes would be nice, as well as an intro to what is this you are looking to capture with your camera. I am sure you will have more pictures uploaded with time, and trying to organize it all with a binding, if short, introduction, will engage viewers, especially those who know little about you. At the same time, and that's goes for us all, writing will stimulate your imagination, as making you realize you have a few missing links (pix of course) that will guide you on our next trip to laos/ BKK, wherever, into getting them, or even adding more purpose to your shooting outings.

I'm really happy I posted about my website because you guys have been coming up with some great comments.

I now realize  having the same 640 pixel longest length for both horizontal and vertical shots is stupid since screens are mostly 4:3 or even 16:9.

Maybe I can increase the width of horizontal shots (by how much though?) and decrease vertical shots to 600.

KinE, I definitely need to take better notes on what I shoot because I too often can't remember the who, what, where, when. Keeping things in context is an important part of taking pictures, I agree with you. As for my intentions, wow, that's for when I become an artist, in 10 years Wink

Gregoire,

On my website, I add some some information for each picture such as date, title, location, comment, camera+lens, basic exif data, copyright and links.

Example: http://www.thaiworldview.com/photo/image3.php?choix1=HKSAR&choix2=Events&choix3=Hungry%20ghost&pic=1
