Thank you Thai World. These days I am shooting all food stuff with mainly the new Canon 24-105mm F/4 lens because of its ability to focus at very close range. I also use the 70-200mm lens for food as well from time to time.

Beautiful! How did you get the lighting like that? Is it natural light?
Thanks!

Marc--Yikes, what are you trying to do to me? My g/f has me eating vegetarian full time, but your shots bring back so many delicious memories. Real nice, and I loved the eggplant in front of the bowl--thought that was a nice touch. My old g/f used to work in management for some restaurants, one of which was a high end steak house here in BKK. I got hired to photograph all these assorted dishes on the menu. Was a nightmare as every time I set up a shot and started to snap away one of the owners kept stepping into the frame shooting away with a point and shoot. Was funny in its own way, and I wanted to say why did you even hire me--besides doing it basically for free and all I could eat afterwards. hah hah They ended up going with a different menu and all the shots ended up not being used.
