There are some photographers who are just pressing a button. And then there are the others who see the world in a very different way...

Sept 8th at 1:05am until 4:00am.
Probably too late to unless you happen to be up late tonight reading this as it's already in progress.
Visible here in Bangkok.

Chris, I was up until pass midnight and the moon was still bright as ever, the white clouds hovering the horizon blocked the moon and no sign of the eclipse by the time I called it quits. I had my camera set up for this but gave up and went to bed instead, wonder if you managed to watch it?

Yes. Me and my girlfriend went up on our roof with a matt and lay down looking up. I didn't believe that she got the time and date right as it seemed like it just wasn't going to happen. It did slowly come in though between 1am and 2am. And I was expecting the full deal where it was going to fully cover the moon and all would go dark. Nope. It was only about a 15% eclipse anyway; so just a clip off the upper right side. I went back down to post on the computer as I thought it was going to go all the way. But when I came up again it had already started to go off. I didn't wait around to see the moon back to full though.
There are a couple shots on PhotoSig.com of the moon with eclipse.
Chris :)

Hi Chris, I stopped up to see the eclipse, and for my first time take some pictures of it, being vey much a begginer to photagraphy, working in the dark with a mediocre camera ( Dimage A200 digital ) I was amased at some of the pictures I took, not being sure of what settings I used for particular photos I will have to go through the session again, and make notes this time on what I'm doing.
Perhaps someone can enlighten me as to the name of the planet which is very visible on some of my photo's, located behind the moon.
