There are some photographers who are just pressing a button. And then there are the others who see the world in a very different way...

These shots from a series I grabbed a while ago in Lumphini Park.
Popular sport played here in Thailand.
Inspired to post here after seeing Gregoire's break dancing shots.
Don't you just love that guy's foot (cut off) up in the air near the net anticipating returning the shot.
Chris :)

Thanks David for the link. Cedric Arnold got some great shots there and the first real info on the game that I had seen. I didn't know that the Saypak part was actually Malay language. I'd like to take more shots and find a place, like he did, that has less background distractions. I hear that sometimes they have big league games at National Stadium.

Chris--his facial expression looked neat as well. This game and the dexterity required never ceases to amaze me, as I basically trip over my big feet.  Sad

There are two Tak Raw courts in the Sirikit Park ,next to the Emporium. There is good lighting in the late afternoon but it is challenging to catch these guys in mid-flight with a decent background. Mike

Hard for a photographer not to stop and catch the right move, when the guys play, really. But, it's not your fault, I recognize the impossible backgrounds against which we are trying to capture that sport. An idea would be to B&W anything but the player, or.... move the net  and posts before they arrive!!! Cheesy
