There are some photographers who are just pressing a button. And then there are the others who see the world in a very different way...

This active volcano within a lake is actually in the Philippines and called Taal Lake and Volcano. It can be reached within an hour's drive from Manila. Thought someone might be interested to see. Marc, I hope this is not out of line as I just have many photos from out of Thailand I'd like to share.

Hi, Jingle, nice shot of the tiny volcano.  It is tiny but deadly when angry.  We've been there a few times, visiting a friend whose house overlooks the volcano.  Good nice country drive.  Nice to see photos of my homeland from someone's lenses.  Mayon Volcano is one in the Philippines where it has a perfect cone shape.  Have you been there?

Thanks Stet. I also passed by the Palace in the Sky and it was quite a place, I did some shooting of the two golf courses there as well, took the cable car and the funicular to move around. A full day trip was hardly enough to see the whole area, too bad that I was not able to go to the volcano crater because of the time. Like you, I enjoyed the visit.

How did you guess? I was born there and left for Thailand after attaining my college degree, that was 20 years ago, so I probably know more of this country than the Philippines. Funny being a tourist in your own country where you ask for directions when you want to go somewhere. In Thailand I can find my way with less difficulty.

I'm Filipino, moved to California 19 years ago, then to Thailand two years ago.  Born and raised in Negros, finished in La Salle, worked with SGV CPA firm, before migrating to California.  Could get lost in Greenbelt now - so many new buildings connected to each other.  David S. of the forum is a farang but he frequents Philippines for diving.  Where are you guys from?

Anna, I have not been to Mayon Volcano and I only saw it in the postcard. I am planning to visit it as well when I am back in the Philippines which I normally visit once a year. By the way, I am from Bulacan, graduated in U.E.
