Flower type photos from Mae Hong Son.

The month of November is noted for a type of flower called Dok Bua Thong.  Dok Bua normally means: Lotus plant but the Bua Thong  is not a Lotus Plant.  However, their  celebrity is noted in Thailand.  The last two photos in this submission are of the Dok Bua Thong.

The first photo is of a Lotus Plant hanging over a stream in the area of Mae Hong Son - Tham Lod.
Tham Lod is recognised as a religious sanctuary.  The fish (Carp) are never caught,, so I am told.

You captured beautiful lighting on this one Michael. I like those little round ripples in the water on the left as well as the fish going by in the water. My only constructive comment is that the plant is cropped just a bit too close to the edge.

Dear Michael,
Between the Karen girl and the stream picture, the latter appealed to me more.  I looked at the details, liking the light through the leaves, and the ripples especially.  You mentioned lotus is the third photo, I only see one.  Am I missing something?

Yes, it has been very hot here in Thailand the last few days.  The heat, however, is coupled with unbelievably deafening clap of thunder and lightning.  So deafening I even looked up the skies to see if the heaven split open.  (Exaggerating here but just to give you an idea.) It's the same routine everyday - as if on cue, rain, lightning come when the heat rises.

Marc, I posted my comments and it kicked me out as someone was currently posting.  I reposted it, then opened to see what came in and.... voila, your comment - on ripples and lighting as well.  (I guess it's a thrill for me to see I have unkonwingly similar comments as the "very good, seasoned professional photographer."

I am afraid, Anna that I got confused on how to submit photographs to the site.  I don't know if this is the correct way to reply to your message but thank you for your encouraging comments.  Kind regards - Michael
