'Ready, Set, Shoot Photo Marathon 2012'

Stream Photo Asia will organize a Photo Marathon this February in Bangkok! A Photo Marathon is a one day photo competition. During this event the competitors will have one hour to complete each assignment. The time pressure element will make this into an exciting challenge. The Photo Marathon stimulates creativity, sharpens the eye and lets the participants tell their story. Together, the photographs comprise a unique exhibition, reflecting a day in the life of Bangkok and its inhabitants through these photographers’ eyes.

From among the photographers participating, a professional jury will select a winner whose photographs will be exhibited during Stream Photo Asia festival in Bangkok. They will also be shared through social networks, with a worldwide reach; and in a permanent form in a printed photobook. Also, the winners will be rewarded a number of prizes.

Stream Photo Asia is a new photo festival that will be held in CentralWorld, Bangkok in February 2012. Stream Photo Asia aims to become the central platform for photojournalism and documentary photography in Thailand and across Southeast Asia. Bringing you the best photojournalism has to offer by showcasing the prestigious World Press Photo exhibition. Next to that we show you the cream of the crop in young Asian photo talent and their work especially made for Stream Photo Asia. We also run a big educational program for 2,000 youngsters.
