Does anyone have any thoughts on the best quality Canon L Series prime lens in the 17-20mm focal length range?

I don't think Canon makes a L series prime in the 17-20mm focal length range.

Marc, there is only the 20mm/2,8 non L. You should probably think of a Zeiss 18 or 21mm. Available at Foto File.

Thanks Hans. The 18mm could be interesting. But those wouldn't be auto focus with a Canon body would they?

No auto focus, Marc, no need at 18/21mm. But excellent glass. Thumbs Up

Thanks. What is the mount like? You need an adapter?

Sounds good. But its manual focus? If all the contacts are working with Canon it would seem the auto focus on the lens should work. Or is it that the lens itself just doesn't have auto focus?

All ZEISS lenses don't have auto focus but large rotation angles by extraordinary smoothness.
