There are some photographers who are just pressing a button. And then there are the others who see the world in a very different way...

I am partial to a bit of insect hunting myself. Never tried in Bangkok though, I tend to keep to the National Parks. With around 50 to choose from in Thailand there is lots of scope!

Some info here on various national parks in Thailand:

Anywhere there is nature in Thailand you can probably a good variety of bugs and plants. Anything in or around the jungle. If there are any waterfalls in your area you might also find some stuff along the trail up to the waterfalls as well.

Khachanaburi is probably only a 2 hour drive and lots of stuff there, waterfalls, etc.

I love Macro photography. I also have some macro shots of plants, flowers and insects but they pictures are not so good. I guess I am not talented enough and have to practice a lot more. I often buy flowers online and whenever I receive a bouquet I try some macro shots. I love flowers and they are always so beautiful and due to this I love the macro shots because then I can keep their beauty forever.
