Good luck competing with RED. If that wasn't bad enough, RED just announced a new model that is also 4k video, but costs $10k and will be ready for delivery in 2 weeks.

I'm no expert in video by any means, but from what I have read the Canon only outputs in 1080p. If it's a 4k video camera, why not output in 4k like others?

Sounds like Canon just got gazumped by RED. Maybe they should go back to making DSLR cameras, their core business.
