There are some photographers who are just pressing a button. And then there are the others who see the world in a very different way...

For various reasons I seem to be committed to a path leading to home processing of E6 film, probably Fuji. I've done B&W long ago, and I am aware of the temperature control issues. My concerns are mostly about obtaining chemistry. Living 45 minutes from the Lao border, a day bombing around on the skytrain in bkk just isn't happening. I have read that home kits for E6 are available for a 3 step process, which apparently doesn't give fully satisfactory results. Can anyone recommend how I should go about getting chemistry for the six step process? As I anticipate having several rolls of 35 and 120 to do, I should have no shelf life problems with mixed fluids. If I am faced with buying a large quantity of the dry chemistry, will there be shelf life issues with that?

Just an update: I found I can mail film to BKK and get pro processing and printing by mail (IQLab). Prints up to 20x30" can be mailed, so the plan has become much more simple. To save money, I'll just get the processing done, then scan film at home, print proofs and up to A4 at home, and transfer any files to be pro-printed electronically to BKK. Incidentally, I found the cheapest place on Ebay to buy Fuji (and other) film in most popular sizes to be located in BKK! He'll give a further 30% (approx.) discount for buying direct for Thai residents. Films Carnival! He offers prompt service and fresh film from what I've tried. filmscarnival@gmail.com  I apologize to anyone offended by such a shameless plug, but in this case I had just spent days going to cities within a 2 hour radius without finding a single source for film, so I figured someone else could be in a similar quandary.

No problem about the plug. Maybe useful to others too as you said.
