Forum's 5 Year Anniversary
«
on:
March 16, 2011, 03:28:02 PM »
The 11th of this month marked the 5 year anniversary since the launch of this Forum. I was thinking about arranging a casual get together of Forum members early next month at a local restaurant or coffee shop on the weekend as per Hans' good suggestion. To make it a bit of show and tell I was also thinking of asking everyone to bring some of their printed photos. By a quick show of hands please let me know how many of you would be interested in attending please.

Thanks you guys for chiming in. I am now looking into dates and venues. More to follow on this.
Jayesh - Normally in Thailand it is not a problem to get some food without meat in it. Don't worry

Thanks David. It would be great to see you as well.
I was wondering if I held it on a day during Songkran, which is April 13 to April 15, or that weekend which would be the 16th/17th if those would be good dates for everyone?
Also, I was thinking starting it late afternoon about 4:00pm and running until 6:30pm, so about 2.5 hours total.

Sounds good David. Once I set the venue and date though I am going to need to get an actual head count in order to prepare the restaurant once I have the location finalized.

I did think about that. Plastic Bags!
I am also thinking about choosing a place that is about a 2 block walk from the sky train station. So we don't get wet. Or Maybe I will just do it on Songkran weekend because the water stops on the 15th. So 16th and 17th will be ok. 17th might have a lot of traffic from people coming back into the city. I think the 16th will probably be the best date.
