There are some photographers who are just pressing a button. And then there are the others who see the world in a very different way...

Hello all,

I am new to this forum and just wanted to introduce myself with a little bit about myself.

I am just a hobbyist photographer to start.  I work in the oil and gas industry (offshroe) in the field of ROV's (remote operated vehicles), so I earn my living away from photography. My work schedule is 28 days working, 28 days at home, which I reside in Thailand for the past 4 years.  I am an avid SCUBA diver on my time off and well as like to take photos, (living here for a month at a time with no hobby's can turn you into a real animal as most of you probably already know).  I rent a small space and use that as a studio, because I wanted to shoot in controlled enviroments and learn how to control light, as I have a few friends from around the world that we share lots of photos, etc.  I am an Olympus E-system user.

Looking forward to loads of info and sharing opportunities here....

Thanks,

BJS

Thanks for the gesture Marc...

I think I will like it here, the other forums I am part of aren't really geared towards photography, but we have a section that a select few of us input to.

Hi BJS

I also work offshore on supply boats in the North Sea, 28 days on 28 days leave, sail in and out of Great Yarmouth have a daughter and grandson live in South Shields so go up to see them for a few days then flight out to Thailland for the rest of the time.
Also looking for a permanent place to stay but cant make my mind up where, all the hotels i have stayed have been great, BKK, Hua Hin, Jomtien cant fault them.

Good to see you on here
