I've just found this website and it's seems to be a good place to share information with other photographers in Thailand! Too bad i didn't find it before as sometimes it can be very tricky to find stuffs in Thailand! Thank you Marc. :)

About me... my name is JC and I am living in Bangkok for 5 years now. I like to shoot people, so far they have all survived but you can see some of my victims at www.jcvg.net

Cheers,

JC

Welcome to the Forum JC. Nice to have you aboard. I had a look at your work. Very nice. I am not so into fashion, but I prefer more the editorial type fashion work you have done. The shot in Hua Lumpong train station with the model. Very chic! I also like the one with the model in the reapir shop sitting on the Vespa with lots of chaos around. Nice Juxtaposition!

Thanks Marc. I like to shoot outdoor but it's hot in Thailand and most of the time i am harassed by the police/security guards etc....
But I need to find some nice locations though because I need more "editorial" pics for my portfolio.

I know what you are saying JC. I often get asked to shoot model portfolios outdoors in Bangkok and I usually decline since locations with interesting backgrounds and privacy are always a challenge. Of course the heat is a challenge too as you mentioned. Around the new Rama 8 bridge though I think it could be a nice setting. Ive seen some interesting angles there. Possibly there is a breeze there too so the model's makeup wont get too runny :)

Thanks Adzz. I'm not sure my pictures are interesting for the forum's members though.

Marc, I shot on the Rama 8 bridge before and some guards told me I have to pay and threatened me to call the police... I've just told them to go ahead and just ignored them, took the picture I wanted to and left as anyway a big storm was coming.

The problem is when I shoot I am usually with a small team (make up artist, one or two models, one assistant..) + a battery pack etc so they always assume I am a professional and they can get money from me. Almost every time but but I've never paid! Grin

Interesting. I was actually thinking of a place below the bridge. I haven't been there myself, but apparently there is a pier area and possibly less conspicuous with the ability to get some water in the background possibly as well as steel girders. I am not sure though. I imagine you must have explored the area pretty well already.

I've been there once only and I didnt have time to go to pier. Maybe I'll give it a try next time or if you go first let me know if it's interesting.

You can probably Google it on Google Images and possibly find some images of it. I saw some shots floating around of it once before, but it has been a while and can't quite remember the source. Sorry.
