There are some photographers who are just pressing a button. And then there are the others who see the world in a very different way...

Several photographers have visited us to shoot both portraits and landscapes off the beaten path in rural Northeast Thailand - and the BBC filmed one of their episodes of Blood Sweat and Takeaways from Gecko Villa (http://www.geckovilla.com)
Many photographers have shot in black and white - great for wizened, craggy faces and some more CENSORED WORD images -  but our vicinity also has its surprises, one of the most stunning being the thickly carpeted lotus lake, where colour is a must! Isan is not just rice paddies and rural villages: both historical sites and places of natural beauty can be found here with a little ferreting out.
Details of galleries shot by recent visitors to our holiday villa can be found at http://www.geckovilla.com/Thailand_Photo_Photography.html

Hi,

looks like a guest house advert more than a photo topic  icon_biggrin ... but I agree that Northeast Thailand is a great place for nature photos as quite preserved from tourism   Wink

I agree Axel, it does look like an advert, but I did not remove the post since I felt it did add some picture taking ideas about the area.

Anyway, nice green rice field :)

Love to shoot in Isaan. Having lots of photos from there on my 'Fred Miranda' gallery and getting a plenty of response and comments.
