Does anyone have any experience with these units? If so, where did you buy it in Bangkok?

I'm not ready to buy a drying cabinet and looking for an interim solution. Any comments welcomed.

Thanks...

Thanks for the link and I do remember the thread on the cabinets.

I was looking for info on the "Wonderful" dry box which is a smaller unit that would be suitable for short term storage of a few lenses.

Wonderful dry cabinet products are made in China I think. I have a couple of their dry cabinets. They sell some of the models at Foto Thailand, 3rd floor, MBK. Maybe you can inquire there.

Thanks Marc. I was able to find a distributor, but not a retail outlet.

I'll give Foto Thailand a try the next time I'm in Bangkok.

There was also a place in Chinatown with a web site. I think they are the distributor.  I'll see if I can find the link.

I had bought one of the  big dry cabinets from APS a few years ago and have had no problems at all, they even delivered it to my condo.

That's good to know David. I think I will add the link to the equipment suppliers list section.

AV cameras at Bangrak stock "Wonderful" cabinets.

I've just bought the AD 108C large unit for 9,500 baht.

Now, this may seem expensive BUT I dropped off 5 fungus infected lenses for attention and I've been quoted 10,000 baht for CLA.

Holds this lot:- 2 x Hasselblads and 6 lenses, 1 Rollei 6008 and 3 lenses, 1 Leica M6 and lens,  2 x Contax G2 and 5 lenses, I x GF1 and 4 lenses, I x Canon 5D and 8 lenses.

Flashmeters, 2 x 6x6 slide loupes  and wedges of filters also.

I am not sure how big that one is, but I paid around 6,500 Baht a pop for the 2 smaller ones I have. Both have 2 shelves. But if the big one has say 4 shelves, then it is a better value for sure as compared to what I paid for my 2 together. And mine are the older analog ones, not the newer digital ones. So not expensive at all what you paid considering the value of what you have to protect.

OK, I see it here now on that other web site I posted earlier:

http://www.apsphotoshop.com/index.php?mn=product&fn=detail&pid=AD108C&lng=en

And you got yours for almost half of what they are selling it for on that web site. And since it has 4 shelves, it is definitely a good value.

Well done!
