There are some photographers who are just pressing a button. And then there are the others who see the world in a very different way...

Take a look at this website of recently discovered images from the past.

What's remarkable is this woman had a full time job and still managed to reel off 100,000 images.

Sad she never saw them.

Ray--Thanks so much for posting. Incredible story and so sad she never received the accolades she so well deserved. Some of these images are wonderful, and stand their own against other classic photos.

Thanks a lot Ray for posting, what vision this lady had, and what a shame her work never got the recognition it no doubt would have deserved and she would have enjoyed.

I'm watching the story in several  media for while now. Looking at her incredible b/w shots I must admit that I'm really impressed by her pictures as well as by the guy who is doing all the work to make it public. Wonder how many undiscovered 'treasures' will be found soon because of this story.

Hans--Do not know if you saw this one recently. http://lens.blogs.nytimes.com/2011/01/07/new-street-photography-60-years-old/  As well as this. http://www.wttw.com/main.taf?p=42,8,80&pid=A1hO97qcWo7ViDL_rWniVH2LakYxNa7J    I am very impressed with her stuff, and it is quite a story.
