There are some photographers who are just pressing a button. And then there are the others who see the world in a very different way...

Hi everyone,

I asked Marc if I could post information about a Photography group I have created for the purpose of networking, sharing and having routine fun shoots around Bangkok. My hope is to have fairly regular shoots (once a week or once every other week) where people that have interest in learning, but also people that have experience and things to share, could come together in a fun environment and shoot.

I know there is a Bangkok Photo Club and they do periodic field trips, but their theme seems to be a little different. I am not trying to create another group that will end up taking members away for existing groups. I am more interested in networking, talking about equipment (specifically here in Bangkok) and doing fun shoots. I have experience doing certain types of shoots, but not others, so I figure that I am more than happy to share my experience, and my equipment for the benefit of others to learn and hopefully I will learn new techniques as well.

If you are interested, the first meet will be August 22nd. I am arranging for a model and a location here in Bangkok. I am guessing it will be a 4-5 hour shooting exercise. To join and participate is completely free. I am out of town until the middle of August, but once I return, I will be scheduling more routine shoots, so if you can't make it, don't worry, there will be more. All you need is a willingness to learn and shoot. If you have a camera, great, bring it. I will be bringing everything else (models, lights, triggers, etc.)

You can join and see details here:

Thanks,
Lance
