There are some photographers who are just pressing a button. And then there are the others who see the world in a very different way...

Does anyone here have any experience with, or alternatives, to software by PT gui and Photomatrix. This all started when I was given a fisheye by Sunex. A weird, but fun lens to play with. I will be using Nikon D300 and D700 for any pictures along with the 14-24 and the 10.5mm lenses. thanks.

On HDR, I used Craceed's Hydra for a while, it produces a much flatter image and lacks the controls and options of PM. Equally as usable but takes a lot (lot) more work in post processing compared to PM. Both programs have problems handling chromatic aberrations but PM is slightly better.

I don't follow the HDR thing that much, but there has been a brief discussion about it already on the Forum here:

There is also another very processed look discussed here:

Marc, Paul,
Thanks for the links and comments. Spent the better part of yesterday trying to figure this thing out. Will follow-up later on the final decision.
Cheers. Ed

The HDR options within Photoshop CS 4 work very well for me, too.
