There are some photographers who are just pressing a button. And then there are the others who see the world in a very different way...

Anyone used this method of mounting prints and is it available in Thailand?

http://www.diasec.nl/uk/index.htm
Diasec ® is is a patented method of gluing the image side of photos, transparencies, lambda prints and various types of graphic material to transparent material such as Acrylic.
The Diasec ® -process absolutely guarantees gluing without air bubbles and naturally without visible dust or glue-residue. This method is suitable for images to be sandwiched between Acrylic and dibond.
The colour-contrast is emphasized, giving images a complete new dimension. When high- gloss Acrylic is used, subtle details are considerably enhanced.

Mark, have a look at this page , it has some examples on it.
Nice looking modern style for mounting/ framing prints...

Diasec is a patented method of gluing a photographic print to Plexiglas. The 3 mm thick sheet of acrylic (Plexiglas) is glued to the front side of the print, which in turn is glued to a 3 mm thick backing sheet of Dibond. The high gloss acrylic emphasizes colour contrasts and shows subtle details to best advantage. The artwork gains extra volume and stiffness, giving it a museum look. Moreover, the Diasec procedure protects the print against dirt, scratching and premature aging.
To make hanging easy, an aluminium U-frame is attached to the back. For photographs 60 cm or wider, the aluminium subframe is rectangular.

One of my old Labs in the UK offer this product as well... http://www.metroimaging.co.uk/finishing/archivalfinishing.asp
