There are some photographers who are just pressing a button. And then there are the others who see the world in a very different way...

I'm totally frustrated with the poor developing of my B+W stuff and thought I'd go DIY.

Does anybody know where I can get tanks, thermometers and chemicals from in Bangkok.

I'm looking at 35mm only and XP2 in Rodinal. (http://www.1point4photography.com/blog/ilford-xp2-stand-developed-in-rodinal/)

If memory serves me, I'll need a Patterson/Jobo tank with reel, Accurate thermometer, Rodinal, stop, fixer and a bleach cleaner (for XP2 especially) (have I missed anything?)

Thanks in advance

Oh yes. Procolour lab which is in Huay Kwaang has the lot (minus rodinal)
You have to order Rodinal and apparently it takes months. You could add wetting agent to your list.
I use d76. http://www.procolorlab.com/

Thanks for that - I'll look them up.

Do you find D76 ok with XP2?

What do you rate XP2 at with D76?

p.s. I've realised I also need measuring jugs as well !

I haven't developed any XP2 yet but I will say developing in general is difficult here because keeping the temperature down can be tricky. Room temp is 30 - 35degs unless you blast the air con.

have you tried pro colour lab for developing your B&W rolls as yet? i get all mine done there (developed and contact sheet) through photo gallery in Silom, and have not had any complaint as yet? They also do very good B&W prints on Ilford paper.

Thank you for that - I haven't tried this company but I'll pursue this avenue
