I'm probably going for a Canon 7D sometime after the holidays, so I want to start watching the prices.

I am not looking for the cheapest place, but a reasonable, dependable shop, full warranty, and a reasonable price that is reasonably competitive.

Where would you keep your eye on?

The 7D seems to be 59,900 now at all shops that offer a full warranty. AC Camera is a very friendly place: http://www.avcamera.com

If you want it cheaper, you can always try Capa at Fortune City. Very friendly place too, but lots of what they sell is grey import, so warranty only valid at Capa: http://www.capa.co.th

Am I wrong or is this NOT a full sensor.

APS-C, but with a 1.45x crop factor and 18mp .. how about the noise?

Ok it's a relative cheap body.

Check out the reviews.  Mostly rave reviews of this camera...not that any affordable camera is perfect or will have every feature.

Bought mine for 51000 (shop warranty) at Capa Foto two weeks ago. Man, what a Camera! You can get it with full Thailand Warranty there too, for 56000 or 56500.

I thought all APS-C sensors on CANON DSLRs were 1.6X?

It's indeed 1.6x crop. That is also the reason why they needed to go to 1.00x magnification to match the viewfinder size of the D300s.
