There are some photographers who are just pressing a button. And then there are the others who see the world in a very different way...

Hi everybody. A friend pointed me to Photography Thailand and I signed up immediately.

My name is Ian Fuller. I've lived in Bangkok for just over three years but have been visiting since the 1980s.

I am originally from England and I worked in the software business in California for many years. I call my semi-retirement in Thailand my third life.

I've been taking photographs ever since my father gave me a Kodak roll film camera when I was about 10 years old. Now I am a Canon DSLR user but consider myself a "Frugal Photographer" i.e. I don't have all the latest equipment. I try to make good pictures with what I have. Maybe I am getting Buddhist philosophy at last.

I've been writing a blog on photography and computers in Bangkok for a few months now. I enjoy writing almost as much as photography. Take a look at http://bkkphotographer.wordpress.com/ and feel free to leave comments.

I was hoping to attend the event on the 22nd but I'll be out of Bangkok for the weekend. Perhaps I should pray for rain so it Will be postponed until the 29th.
