There are some photographers who are just pressing a button. And then there are the others who see the world in a very different way...

Chiang Mai Photographic Group Exhibition 2009
2nd Floor, Northern Village, Central Airport Plaza, Chiang Mai
November 14th – 29th, 2009.  11.00 – 20.00 daily

Pim Kemasingki, editor of City Life, Chiang Mai’s premier English language magazine, will open the Chiang Mai Photographic Group’s second exhibition at Northern Village, Central Airport Plaza at 4.00pm on Saturday November 14th.

This diverse collection of arresting images from all over Asia illustrates that there’s a lot more to be photographed than the usual fare of temples, hill tribes and sunsets!  About one hundred contributions by members hailing from more than half a dozen countries using equipment ranging from simple point-and-shoot cameras to the latest digital SLRs will quickly convince you that it’s a keen eye for the picture that counts.  Last year’s event met with critical approval and this year’s will feature an even greater selection of unusual and challenging photographs, some of which will be available for sale through Northern Village.

The exhibition has been made possible by the support of Digital Photo Shop, AA Insurance, City Life Magazine, ThaiVisa and Photo Bug – companies whose generous sponsorship helps keep the city of Chiang Mai at the forefront of the creative arts in Thailand.

The Chiang Mai Photographic Group meets on Wednesdays at 7.00pm every fortnight in Tuskers Bar and all those with an interest in photography, be it film or digital are warmly invited.  For details of meeting dates please visit www.cmpg.igroops.com.  Meetings are conducted in English but all nationalities are welcome.

If you are in town, please come to our opening and have a glass of wine!
