There are some photographers who are just pressing a button. And then there are the others who see the world in a very different way...

Thanks.

There is one guy I know doing custom B&W hand prints, Surat Suvanich. I used him last year for a job and he delivered good quality work. His email is: surat_su@hotmail.com, and tel # is: 07-059-8385. Good luck.

Surat suvanich is definately the best person in Asia to use for custom black/white printing and developing. His web site contains details of his services and prices, www.halfmoonlab.net He's based on Ekami Road, Bangkok and is friendly and helpful in all respects, it's a pleasure to work with him.

Hello CR,  There is a dedicated Thai B&W goup called B&W rhapsodies group. They have their own website, www.bwfoto.net, the webmaster is K.Soranai who is an enthuasist for black&white photo processing.  The website also contains a very nice gallery of traditional Thai B&W photos, some of them were color painted!   K.Soranai takes B&W photo processing as his serious pastime but he also can be hired for B&W film processing and printing, although his main job is an engineering and an enterpreneur!  So do not expect any cheap work.  He also is a camera collector, from P/S Leica to large format ones.  Mostly, he shot with his M Leicas.  I am a member of his B&W group and do my own processing and printing but I am still in the novice stage.  Sadly, if you cannot read Thai since most of the members are Thais and they communicate in their own language.  If you need any more info you can have some Thai translate the website content for you.
