There are some photographers who are just pressing a button. And then there are the others who see the world in a very different way...

i am curious about the particular restrictions of the alternative posting section why does it not read more like " Restricted to thai and thai based photographers" as i mentioned i live full time in thailand and despite the fact i totally isolate myself i still count as part of the photographic community in thailand yet i am restricted from posting certain images for nonsensical reasons equally thai nationals working in or studying photography abroad [ quite a few] cannot post interesting images theyve shot in london or wherever surely they are part of the thai photographic community also? i resented the first comment you made about my pictures ------ where ?---- not good or bad or how but -- where? so my question is why ? the forum is very much your baby and you can do with it as you wish however having seemingly unnecessary censorship in a forum about free expression seems at odds with its presumed goals

At the moment there are no restrictions on subject matter posted in the Forum as long as it is considered to be within good taste as per the Usage & Etiquette post under Forum Rules.
There are no restrictions on the type of images posted or subjects to be discussed on the Forum either, again withstanding the Usage and Etiquette guidelines.
The policy on posts is that as long as I have enough server storage space available to continue to accommodate people's posts, then I am happy to see people post their images freely without restricting subject matter, unless the content posted violates Forum Usage & Etiquette as I said, or is in copyright violation.
At the moment there are still many gigabytes of server space available for members to post images. So I don't see any issues with members posting images in either the near or medium term future. I also welcome posts from Thai photographers studying/working abroad.
But yes, this is primarily a Thai photography forum, which means the general intent is to host image posts from members relating mainly to subjects shot within Thailand. As I said though, I am not enforcing any restrictions on image posts at this time if people do happen to post other, unrelated image subjects in the Forum.
I am hoping though that people continue, as they have, to post content in the general spirit of what this Forum was set up for. This is further explained in my original Forum Welcome Message if you would like to read more about that.
Otherwise, the content of the Forum becomes more generic and less focused on Thailand. And as a result, the Forum may then no longer be viewed as a specialized Thailand photography forum as it meant to be.
I hope this helps to clarify things for you.
