As I wander around I always look for a temple with some interesting angle.  Wat Phasee (not far from the intersection of Soi Ekkamai and Thanon Phetburi) has rather unique architecture and may be worth a look-see.

Yes, I was there during the last Loy Kratong festival. Interesting place, I agree.
