Hi,

where can we still get large format films in Bangkok, with preference Fuji, up to 8x10"? I just saw that this was a topic 3 years ago, but times have changed...

Thanks a lot.

Hi Adam,

They cannot help, I actually put this request on the forum after iQ Lab Ekamai asked me about this point for a customer who stays in Thailand for a couple of weeks.

But many thanks.

One place to ask, is the used camera shop in Charn Issara Tower on Rama 4 between Silom and Suriwong. He sells some large format gear and runs a studio as well. I usually have a bunch of his business cards floating around, but alas, now I can't even remember the name of the shop. It's easy to find though, in the small shopping arcade on the first floor.

Edit: The shop is called Camera Collection, and the owner is Eddie Siu

Looks like Fuji Thailand do sell Velvia and Provia over here: http://www.fujifilm.co.th/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=56&Itemid=27

Customer support number is:  0 2270 6007

Perhaps they can help.

The people at Fuji are very friendly. They even have a customers service desk at  their main office in the IBM building, I think it's Ari BTS station.

Pro Color Lab Company Limited

35 Soi Ratchadaniwet, Pracharat Bamphen Road
Huai Khwang, Bangkok 10320, Thailand
www.procolorlab.com

They stock 120 and I think 4x5, neg and transparency. If you call and pay w/ cash they can deliver to you.
They're out nr. Huay Kwang underground station.

I haven't been on the forum for a while. Thanks to all for your help!

Here's a short summary:
- Pro Color Lab (latest post) seems to be the best opportunity.
- Camera Collection (Charn Issara Tower Rama IV) can order but probably order them at Pro Color Lab as well (my Thai knowledge was too weak to understand the details that they discussed in the shop)
- Fuji can purchase but it depends on the quantity for each type of film (as Kodak)
- iQ Lab cannot.

Thanks again, Markus

You can also try contacting the people at Photo Hobby in the Silom Complex shopping plaza. I think they are on the 3rd floor. If they don't have it they might at least be able to suggest where else to get it. I also tend to think you might be able to find something in China Town.
