There are some photographers who are just pressing a button. And then there are the others who see the world in a very different way...

Hello,

I will be in Thailand end of January-beginning of Feb. this year. I am going to Trang and would like to travel to neighbouring provinces such as Nakhon Si Tammarat and Suratthani. I would also like to go to Satun but my wife says it's dangerous (I think she's wrong). Can anyone who has shot in those areas recommend any particular places worth visiting from photography point of view?

Thanks

Regards
Alex

Sorry, but I don't know about the safety of those places at the moment. I do though think Satun would be a nice place to visit. Attached is a postcard photo I scanned from Satun and looks like their might be some nice photo opportunities for natural beauty. Enjoy your travels...

Thanks a lot, Marc. I have decided that I will go to Koh Lanta, Trang, Songkhla, Patthalung and Satun. Hopefully will get some nice photos and will report back here upon my return.

Happy New Year!

I've just returned from the Satun province and nearby Tarutao national park. Absolutely splendid! Have a nice time.

It's safer than nightclubs in Bangkok anyway   :-\

Actually, it's probably safer than most things in Bangkok.

Alex, it sounds like you got yourself a nice itinerary planned and glad to see other people were able to help give good input as well. Have a good journey.
