There are some photographers who are just pressing a button. And then there are the others who see the world in a very different way...

Someone forwarded me these photos. It is of a huge Buddha statue at Wat Muang in Ang Thong province. Probably about a 1.5 hour drive from Bangkok and looks very interesting for a visit and for some photos. I have not been there myself yet and these photos are copyright property of the respective photographers who shot them.

I would like to visit soon myself. Someone told me there is an internal staircase inside the huge statue and that you can go up to the chest area and look out at the view. Sounds like fun!

Some very nice pics. Someone emailed me these and some others yesterday, a few that you did not post are real nice as well. I could post them but do not know if that would be ok since I am not the photographer, though their names are on the photos or nearby. The internal staircase sounds really neat.

Just returned about two hours ago. A very pleasant drive from Bangkok and nice to get out of the city for a day. Stopped at the Saphan Buri market on the way back and took the boat trip to the Thai House which is a poor mans Jim Thompson House; very pleasant and relaxing. I hired a van and the cost was 1800 for the van and 1200 for the gas if anyone is interested.
