There are some photographers who are just pressing a button. And then there are the others who see the world in a very different way...

Mark, any chance of a studio lighting WS this next winter?

Herve

I am very sorry Herve. Unfortunately no plans for any workshops at the moment.

All the best though with your photo shooting in Thailand though.

Stopped at Foto File last week and asked about delivery date of the 5D Mark II and was told hopefully sometime next month, or afterwards. I would probably go with afterwards. :-(
Someone I know in USA got to shoot with the 5D Mark II and here was what he said as to the movie function. "I will also say that I have shot with the 5D M11 and was rather disappointed. I assumed that you could shoot video and extract a high def file. For example you shoot a baseball coming at the camera as
video and extract the perfect frame. The camera is not capable of this. You must switch from video to still and there is a .5 second delay. The quality of the still files are very very good but not impressed with the video portion".
One thing I have not read about is with all these new SLR's coming with video is the problems we will see on the internet. We all know even a fast bandwidth connection here in Thailand is painfully slow sometimes, when people start uploading/downloading video files it will get worse, like pulling teeth.
Some servers in assorted countries are already going to paying for the amount of bandwidth one uses, probably the wave of the future and another way to get more $.
