Hi everyone.
I'm new to this forum.
I will be visiting Thailand in 2-3 months.
I want to buy a camera there.
I was thinking about Canon 450D or the 400D.
The thing is, I need to do it in the beginning of the trip, and I want to save the hustle of searching for shop and looking for cameras.
I dont mind buying the "body only" option.
In my country, the 400D costs about 23000 Bht,  body only. and the 450D costs 33,000 body only.
If anyone can assist me in getting the approximate prices and the locations in Bangkok (or Chiang Mai or Koh Phangan) i Will be forever thankfull!!

P.S I hope this is the right place for such post, and i don't violate any site rules or policies.
Cheers

Hey Alex,

I just bought a 450D yesterday.  I bought mine in Fortune Town or Tower or whatever that mall is called.  It's at Pha Ram 9 subway Station.  There were like 10 shops selling the camera for 28000 with lens.  That also included a free 2 gig card I think.

Also can get in Fotofile, ground floor of MBK and probably a million other places in Siam.

Enjoy your trip

Hi
I am looking for Nikon gear
I have looked at this website,

http://www.pix-one.com/product.asp

I find the prices quite reasonable.

I have shopped at PIX One.
They do have better prices but I suspect the gear is either refurbished, open box, or grey market....Not sure what they are up to?
