Light power for full body portraits?
«

I need full body shots with a completely 100% pure white background, preferably with minimal Photoshop editing. The only info I can find online deals with head and shoulder shots.
After talking to the guy at Kimi on Soi Convent, here is what I am thinking:
- Two adjustable 100 w/s strobes with umbrellas.
- Maybe a separate strobe for the background. Don't know how many w/s.
- Or maybe two car sunblock window panel thingies as reflectors instead to light the background.
What do you guys think? Do I need to light the background separately? How about reflectors instead? I'm pretty new at this. Thanks.

Minimum strobes heads to light a subject and knock out the background is two. One head at least has to be dedicated to the background, putting two heads works best for the most even light. You could put one head with a very large umbrella and a very large bounce card for the subject for the simplest set up.

Thanks for the input. Tomorrow I think I'm gonna buy 2 head at 160 w/s, and that's it. Hopefully I won't have to buy more lights. If I need more light on the bg, I will try reflecting the some onto the background with something. I can get some big white cards from B2S or something. I dunno. I just don't want to buy these two lights at like 6000 Baht each, and then find out I need more lights. Maybe I should just stop being an CENSORED WORD and rent some stuff first to see how what I need.
